Wednesday November 14

Hard to believe it's been over two weeks since I posted anything! (This is even hard for me to believe!) So here we are, middle of November, Turkey Day looming in about a week.

I thought about a lot of things these past couple weeks, and then thought, I could get all prosaic and profound and it wouldn't really change the nature of where we are, here and now. Haven't felt inspired lately, haven't felt like doing much except for sleeping...although this aspect of my life is definitely improving!

And so, an early Thanksgiving wish: Love the ones you're with.

Simple, far more profound than any other ponderings, but totally gets at the truth of why we're all here. So do it!

Okay! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope you have a relaxing day or two, good company, and pie!

Does anyone else really appreciate the fact that there's no gift giving on T-Day? Not that I don't enjoy giving or like receiving, but just getting together for the sake of having a good time. Damn, I like that.

I think we'll make a donation or two again this year for xmas. ASPCA, MS Society, WWF, and the Lymphoma Society for my friend Hayley who is battling cancer.

Hey S-in-L, thank you! How is Hayley doing? Keeping you all in my prayers...see you soon!

I don't have much news about Hayley. The last I heard she had 3 potential donors for a transplant. Thank you for asking.

On another note, I need to send an email to all about Thanksgiving. The Wichita clan is coming to town Friday. Maybe we can 'turkey' here Friday night or Saturday late afternoon. Too many schedules!

thoughts and prayers to hayley and all others out there struggling with such a challenge. kathy... i'm with ya on the no gift-giving on tgiving. i think the most important part of it all is just being together and enjoying time with with each other and the unique gifts (for better or worse!) that each individual brings to the table...

happy day, all!
