Flaming June

I love this painting. It is by Frederick Lord Leighton. I have a wonderful poster of it. Seems that June likes to nap...and I can most definitely confirm it. Ten top reasons to take a nap include:
1. You Just Feel Like It
2. You need a break from the...well...insanity
3. You have a headache....and need a break from the...insanity
4. Your body parts are MORE tired than you could ever imagine possible
5. It's Sunday afternoon and you have a GREAT book to read
6. It's Saturday afternoon and you're watching cable
7. You've just got done mowing, seeding and weeding the north and south 1/4 acre (flower beds included...personally, I think there must be a demon behind the whole flower bed thing....I mean, come ON...who invented WEEDS???)
8. You just finished a metric century on your bike (and the usual post ride brew)
9. You've had a series of managerial challenges in the last 48 hours (or 24 or 96-doesn't matter...it's the challenge that counts!)
10. You Just Feel Like It

Sleep tight!

I haven't had a really seious nap since we got Zoe--just a few zzzz's here and there while watching tv. If I was asked to choose nap or Zoe, it would be Zoe every time. But a little furry foot pawing at you while trying to siesta....Now Bud, that boy can nap and Patch would just snuggle and lay with me forever. :)

That painting is seriously cool. We need more artwork hanging at our house. Even if it's just framing some of the cool posters we've picked up along the way.

Welcome to the challenge of mature flexibility! I'd say if you can sleep in this position at any age without the need for a chiropractor to set you straight, you're in FINE shape!
